Game Design - Programming - 3D Art
I was hired as a solo designer by the USC Neurology Department to create an educational game to be used within the university’s curriculum for medical students studying neuroanatomy. I worked hand in hand with medical doctors and educators at the USC Medical School to develop a curriculum based around identifying damaged regions in the brain through the Mini-Mental Status Exam. Using this as an educational framework, I designed and programmed a game in Unity that was later released online and tested among these university students.
The game was shown at the at American Academy of Neurology Conference 2012 in New Orleans. I am listed as co-researcher on the paper “Video Gaming: A Pilot Study Tool To Enhance Localization in Neurology” published by the American Academy of Neurology.
