Austero Bluth Company Keychains

For the 2018 Season of Arrested Development we were brought on as fabricators for a custom Austero Bluth Company keychain. These keychains were created to emulate the appearance of enameled metal as a finished keychain for the Bluth stair car featured in the show.

For the development of these keychains we worked from artwork provided by the show to create custom 2D vector drawings in Adobe Illustrator. These vector designs were used with our industrial laser cutter to cut the outline of the keychains from acrylic plastic and emboss a relief cut into the plastic to raise certain outlines and create a 3-Dimensional look to the surface of the keychain. The acrylic plastic was then primed and finish painted to look like enameled metal, with a clear coat applied to give it the signature gloss of those types of keychains.
